Suction Hood
Side Suction Hood: Magnet-based scrap charging, 360° rotation via remote (VFD-controlled), mechanized swiveling.
Dog House Suction Hood: Captures fumes/dust, no magnet charging, moves on a third rail for pouring.
Top Hang Suction Hood: Used in small foundries, manual/electro-mechanized movement, crucible-to-crucible suction.
Dust Separator
Spark Arrestor: Prevents flammable debris emission, traps particles via baffling, reduces fume temperature, protects fabric filters. Available in cassette, tubular, or cooler types.
Cyclone: Uses inertia to remove larger particulate matter from flue gases, essential for de-dusting flow dust.
Filter House
- Fumes pass through filter bags, trapping dust outside while releasing clean air inside. Cleaning starts when differential pressure rises. Heat Exchanger
- A Force Draught Cooler is a tubular convective heat exchanger that cools hot gases using ambient air. Air-to-Gas FD Heat Exchangers are economical and efficient. Cooling occurs as force draught fans transfer air over multiple tube rows, utilizing convectional temperature gradients. Key design factors: gas volume, velocity, mass, and heat transfer area.
Blowers
A mechanical device that moves air/gas through ducts and pollution control equipment to the exhaust stack. Uses kinetic energy to create negative pressure, drawing air in and accelerating it radially outward via centrifugal force
Intelligent Electrical Controller
Countdown Timer: Switches power off after a preset time.
Cyclical Timer: Repeats on/off cycles at preset intervals.
Once energized, the timer counts accumulated time, keeping contacts in their changed state as long as the coil is active.
Filter House
- Used during Induction Furnace tilting and in workshops with rising fumes. Suction hoods capture and direct smoke through ducts to separator devices, then to the stack. Combined with a Primary Fume Extraction System, it ensures 99.9% clean air and controls air pollution.
Heat Exchanger
Rotary Air Valve: Prevents air loss in dust collector systems (pressure/vacuum). Chain-driven blades rotate, allowing filtered dust to pass downward.
Screw Conveyor: Uses a rotating helical screw within a tube to move extracted dust. Operated via a geared motor, it transports dust from the Rotary Air Valve output to its destination.
